Astute readers will note that the characters in this comic don’t speak Middle English — and oddly enough, neither do I. The archaic terms and grammar within are closest to Shakespearian English so that the text can actually be understood by modern readers, though I bet there are some Chaucerian scholars out there laughing their overeducated asses off at my lame attempt to sound medieval. I also made up a bunch of nonsensical shit to mock the deliberate linguistic corruptions inherent in bro-speak. While I tried to consistently conjugate verbs for various forms of address (primarily thee and thou, while omitting the you form to sound more, um, authentic), I’ll lose no sleep over the fact that it’s far from perfect; if you’re reading this comic as a grammar guide of any sort, I weep for you.

FYI: I will wager that Ogden Whitney has drawn what is possibly the most smug version of Robin Hood, ever.
